With a nice yummy fish.

Tag Galaxy

This is pretty neat. Just go over to Tag Galaxy and give it a tag.

I can see Atlanta

You could too if the Sidekick had a real camera.

Walking & Wandering

Mountain Park Park has some nice trails that are paved and mulched too.
Looks like about 4.5 miles is all I can take today.

Cool place to live

Might have to zoom in on that sign when I get home.

Short Track

Trying local park (Mountain Park Park) with a 1 mile walking trail. I'm not
going to commit to 5 miles or a mountain today.

This worked pretty well.  I made two laps. It was nice to have the option to turn back or make a cut-through back to the car as my knee is sort of bugging me and rain was also on the way.

I also wore my new WrightSocks and didn't seem to annoy my blister from the other day.

Made it... day 2.

I don't know which was worse. I think I have blisters.

I made it home just before the storms. Heather, the cats, and I hung out for a while in the basement.  One of my blisters is pretty bad. Oh well. I will live.

Oasis by the gristmill

About halfway

Sorta... other side of mountain at least.

Slightly smarter today

I'm just going to walk around it (I did forget my water though.)

Made it!

Shoot me now. Ugh.

I made it back down without injury. Then I went home and mowed the lawn.  I'm beat.

I might make it!

At the mountain

Tuesday Tiki Find

I found a nice blue Kanaloa from Pony Express Creations today at Goodwill.

Here you see him next to a Ku from the same set that I found at a different Goodwill about two years ago. Now All I need is Kane and Lono to complete the set. They're fairly inexpensive tiki mugs that were made to be sold at stores like Spencer's and Party City... nothing spectacular but still tiki... and still cool.

Pony Express Creations may be defunct... their web site is.

Target sucks

I tried to buy 3 containers of tea for $1.89 each as indicated on the
shelf. They rang up for $2.99 each. They did a "price check." This
involved a guy coming over to the register and scanning the item with a
handheld scanner... which of course rang up $2.99 (DUH!) The thought of
going to look at the item on the shelf never crossed either of them. At
that point I just gave up and left.

Wrapper from my after-dinner mint.

Tonight we finally checked out L'Thai. It's one of the the closest Thai Restaurants to our house but we'd never gone there. It's "organic" and all that.

Appetizer: crab & cream cheese spring roll - not bad.. kind of like crab rangoon in a spring roll

I had the pad kee-mow with tofu and veggies. It was very good though not very hot. I asked for "medium hot" which at most Thai places is fairly intense. It was more like mild. Good flavors and the veggies were fresh and good. Next time I'll know to say "hot" or nothing at all and see how that goes.

Heather had nuah prix-khing which was in a really good chili-curry sauce that had building heat.

Dessert: F.B.I. - Bananas in rice paper deep fried (like spring rolls) served with homemade mango ice cream on some strawberry and chocolate sauce. This was truly evil... I thought it could have been done without the chocolate as it overpowered the milder fruit flavors in the ice cream. Neither of us needed it but we ate it all anyway.

They had a fairly extensive beer and wine list that I had a hard time not ordering from. Heather had some Thai iced-tea and seemed fairly pleased with it.

Service was great. They kept an eye on us but didn't bug us all the time. Works for me.

Take a look at the menu on their web site and see if it's worth checking out when you're over by us in Tucker.

22 Player Foosball Table

Made by Airworks for some Amstel promotion.

I'd hate to think how long a game would take.
